Thread: Questions about hard drive space, displays and VLC, and joystick support
new linux... maybe can help!
okay, first issue. i've been using linux week , downloading tv , movies since tv broke @ home. however, apparently i've run out of space. seems there's limit on how stuff can put home folder. think i'm capped @ 40gb system has room 100gb more. i'm not dual booting windows-- linux machine now. there way change this? error?
next... run samsung n120 netbook 10" display. 22" acer external gave me trouble @ first got system read display correct resolution. however, when try run vlc, can see maybe 5 pixels of program @ top of netbook screen, not external monitor. can run vlc 800x600 reso , mirrored screen images. i've done lot of research on forums couldn't find specific enough problem.
lastly, want usb gamepad running can play vba , zsnes. have logitech cordless rumblepad 2... care less rumble function working properly-- want use controller. there replacement jscalibrater i've read about? other methods of getting work? if not, know gamepads work on distro?
lot in advance. have nice day!
1 - can show me output of?code:sudo fdisk -l
3 - try installing qjoypad or rejoystick packages playdeb.net repository. configure mapping (e.g: button 3 on joystick = arrow) of joystick.
