Has my site been hacked? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi all. last few weeks have been geting large core.xxxx files in root of site. did backup of site upgrade 12 13 , tried login admin end , site has gone down. page see is:

warning: main(/includes/version.php) [function.main]: failed open stream: no such file or directory in /home/ruecom/public_html/includes/joomla.php on line 71

fatal error: main() [function.require]: failed opening required '/includes/version.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/ruecom/public_html/includes/joomla.php on line 71

both files there:
joomla.php , version.php

can please advise?

check if have configuration.php file, check it's content.

Error compiling for board Arduino/Genuino Uno.
