Thread: dpkg Throws an Error When I try to Install evtouch
hello,
got secondhand hp pavilion tx1000 tablet. i'm trying make sure working ok while wait hard drive come in mail, , googling showed need package xserver-xorg-input-evtouch make touchscreen work. however, can't install it. here's terminal says:

if it's simple problem lists referred dpkg, try this:(reading database ... dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting:
failed in buffer_read(fd): files list package `kpartx': input/output error
e: sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned error code (2)
open synaptic. settings, repositories, ubuntu software tab. untick selected repositories in synaptic (or software sources), reselect them , reload. should redownload applicable lists (kpartx in main) , may solve problem.
