my gateway pentiumiv laptop, has bad cd/dvd
can't install [boot] 9.04 cd,
hdd go windows xp recovery console & partially restore [locks before completion], don't care having xp, 9.04 fine
american mega trends v02.57 bios
boot usb isn't supported bios
boot broadcom mba think means network option
boot fdd floppy disc drive option [not sure connection]
have 8.04 install on old pentium iii full sized pc on same network
has working cd's & usb ports.
have 8.04 cd [used install on fullsized]
have untested 9.04 & 9.10 on usb stick
can do.
yes know may wasting time, it's worth shot
sounds time new laptop!
