Email Address Cloaking is Modifying Address - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

howdy all,

running j1.5 rc4 , have come across annoying issue related email cloaking. i've spent on hour searching forum answer without luck. apologies if there answer in forum, cannot find one.

i have several email addresses listed on contact page, , 1 of email addresses "asstdirectorofbaseball@xxxxxxxx.com". when viewed in frontend article, email address displayed "asst directorofbaseball@xxxxxxxx.com". changed code in backend "asst.directorofbaseball@xxxxxxxx.com" , code in frontend displayed "asst. directorofbaseball@xxxxxxxx.com"". in both cases hyperlink email under "directorofbaseball@xxxxxxxx.com", , if hover on address, same thing (partial address) visible.

some of other email addresses in backend have format "3/4league@xxxxxxxx.com" , changed "3/ 4league@xxxxxxxx.com". in both cases hyperlink email under "4league@xxxxxxxx.com", , if hover on address, same thing (partial address) visible.

clicking link send email send incorrect email address. ideas here? i'm stumped.

i found pattern first issue reported above. first email address on page directorofbaseball@xxxxxxxx.com. if second email address on page asstdirectorofbaseball@xxxxxxxx.com, second link changed match first: directorofbaseball@xxxxxxxx.com.

if change first link dob@xxxxxxxx.com , second link adob@xxxxxxxx.com, second link once again matches first link: dob@xxxxxxxx.com. joomla doesn't seem 2 similar email addresses in same page; latter inherits properties of former.

just fun set third link "2directorofbaseball@xxxxxxxx.com", , sure enough, display changed "2 directorofbaseball@xxxxxxxx.com", "2 " not being linked, , "directorofbaseball@xxxxxxxx.com" being (incorrect) link.

***update***
this issue still exists in 1.5 stable.

is not right place post bugs this? ask because:

1) bug unless type of flawed functionality put in place design, doubt.
2) no 1 has replied indicating should behave in manner reported.
3) approximately 2 weeks way long wait when expecting reply after reporting bug project community size.

Error compiling for board Arduino/Genuino Uno.
