Background Color with Alpha Transparency
question: how 1 provide background color image alpha-transparency different of background color of document itself?
background: have gif image created alpha transparency, when image loaded 1 can determine alpha transparency has succeeded -- this, because background color of document shows through.
unfortunately, background transparency designed , background color of host-document not same. result, jagged edges typically associated gif images horribly visible. have tried changing background-color of <img> tag calls gif image. failed, tried placing image in both span , div tags set background-color property color hide jagged edges. simply, no change in background-color takes place.
i know have identified , targeted tags, because able float image css rules desire.
what preventing me setting background colors of aforementioned tags?
roddy
