Thread: Video drivers for Intel 945GM - compiz not working

i'm trying compiz working on laptop can't seem going. compiz worked fine under jaunty on upgrade cannot enabled (selecting normal visual effects in appearance preferences returns "desktop effects not enabled" error).

details:
i'm using dell inspiron 640m laptop.

things i've tried:
reinstalling xserver-xorg-video-intel
intalling xserver-xorg-video-xxx find (probably not idea)
looked around dell.com linux news find iso 9.04.

if give @ i'd appreciate it!

i had same issue until updated system, of moment using compiz.

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe
