Problem when saving FM 8 as PDF or PDF for review

i have technical communication suite and, reason, can't save fm 8 pdf or pdf review. when try, following error:

 

"framemaker not find adobe pdf printer instance, must installed execute save pdf command."

 

a few weeks ago, didn't have menu option save pdf, had tech comm suite reinstalled. couldn't save pdf framemaker 8, robohelp7 , or word 2003. had tech comm suite reinstalled again. can save pdf robohelp , word, still no luck framemaker 8.

 

i have acrobat distiller 8 , adobe acrobat 3d version 8. prior 1 of reinstalls, discovered had older version of distiller, has been removed.

 

anyone have thoughts?

 

thanks.

look in printers folder , see if have logical printer named adobe pdf or similar set up. should set system default printer.

 

then instead of using saveas, frame, print logical printer instance , see if works.

 

as general rule, printing pdf printer preferred on using saveas less reliable...

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe
