XML Response Error - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello,
um trying install joomla 1.5 on site , got error when enter ftp account details

error: xml response returned server invalid.

also if choose not set ftp access joomla , continue installation trying install sample data got same error, , if proceed more installation process without installing sample data or setting ftp access got error

notice: undefined index: dbtype in /home/skininfo/public_html/installation/installer/models/model.php on line 731
fatal error: call undefined method jexception::getnulldate() in /home/skininfo/public_html/installation/installer/helper.php on line 290

me ... not rookie joomla.

same problem.

help?  ???

plesk panel, nothing abnormal, @ least dozen old version joomla installs working first time, everytime.

Error compiling for board Arduino/Genuino Uno.
