Photoshop / Indesign / Acrobat / … color match ?
i'm printing color chart using cs4, mac (10.5.7), , inkjet (hp b8850)
if adobe , apple made color managment corectly, wich assume did, should able print same tiff file correctly same colors in cs app. print chart, you're supposed turn cm off.
so printed chart in photoshop. created document import tiff file in indesign, , choosed 'emulate indesign 2.0…'…
after experience lot of trouble, i've understand there problem indesign cs3/cs4 , have choose print bitmap in print settings.
see here : http://forums.adobe.com/thread/285075?tstart=0
so have chart looks 1 photoshop. great.
i should able same result acrobat pro (9).
so ive exported indesign doc no profils. open in acrobat, goin print settings, advanced setttings , in profil section choose not use profiles. use same settings printer before. print , don't right result (looks same wrong outputs indesign before using bitmap !). felt tryin print bitmap in acrobat. hell, colors completly different again, , quite faded.
did made wrong ?
i wonder why color settings different thru apps ? thought there using same color managment ?!
sorry tripped across thread, here answer incase else finds this.
short answer do, adobe ace. longer answer use adobe bridge keep cs suite in sync each other.
os x instructions, sorry no windows, should close same.
to add photoshop settings suite applications:
open: photoshop
click; edit --> color settings (cmd+shift+k)
set color setting way want them. click save
save color settings in: "yourusername"/library/application support/adobe/color/settings/ give name , description see fit.
open: adobe bridge
click; edit --> creative suite color settings (cmd+shift+k) make sure settings in list , selected click apply, available in suite.
your color settings synchronized
that should solve color inconsistancy problem moving application application within suite.
