Unable to Capture Video PE 3.0

i'm using premier elements 3.0 , unable capture video dv camera. have reviewed instructions might relate problem , have re installed program. when go capture video, in top left of screen indicates "capture device off line" can start , stop camera buttons on capture screen. video button not active. not download. again if run through start instruction no results.  program use work fine have not used in while. suggestions?

a couple of questions:

 

do have 3.0.2 update?

 

what make/model of camera?

 

does windows give "bing-bong" sound, when have camera plugged-in via firewire , turn on?

 

what mode camera's manual tell set camera in, capture?

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe
