Thread: [wine 1.0.1] world of warcraft won't load or install

hey, gang!
first ubuntu forums thread, gentle ... , speak in simple terms! ^_^

here's relevant info, starters:
cpu - 1.40 ghz intel core2 duo
ram - 2014 mb, 501 free
graphics card - intel corporation mobile gm965/gl960
wine version # - 1.0.1
ubuntu version - 8.10 intrepid

so. here's problem: dl'ed wine, dl'ed installer client wow, , managed install client onto computer. then, when told computer go ahead , install actual program, crashed, , wine referred me wine website search proof bug had been reported.

hasn't, here am! sound , visuals check out fine while it's doing thing, , wine seems working properly, when try install wow client, either crashes @ point, or never works @ all, i.e. tell run installer.exe , nothing @ all.

have ever run game under wine version?

it's first thread new linux?

try running in terminal (wine install.exe) , see error get. dll needed.

try intall latest wine version, me programs run in version 1.1.3x

it´s not avaible ubuntu download debian 1 ( http://www.lamaresh.net/binary.php ), install , shoud work fine...

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe
