Audio only on a video clip

hello gang,

 

hope can answer question.  took series of video clips on week.  after began putting them together, somehow "lost" video.

they show video clip in menu screen, when go play them audio portion shows up.

then after let play clip "loses" video pic associated clip , shows "audio" note.  guess an

audio clip , lost video?  ideas smart crowd????  definately not in group.  novice!\

please tell more clips. more detail, better.

 

this common, when av clips not dv-avi type ii, begin with. caused either not having proper , necessary codec's installed (usually error messge on one), or files use codec pe cannot work with. often, offending clip play in media player, nle program doing more playing file - editing file.

 

use g-spot, free utility tell that/those file(s). first survey computer installed codec's, tell ones used create file, when dragged it. remember, because might have proper codec's installed, not mean nle, pe can use codec's. might have convert file, outside of pe first. however, info provided g-spot tell how need conversion.
