How to print to PDF using HP Laserjet 4100 & Acrobat Pro 8.1.1.?
since updating system 10.5, print pdf feature not seem work anymore.
have reinstalled software. downloaded acrobat 8 pro patch, doesn't recognize installed software, can't upgrade what's on system.
printer reaction pause. do???
first not uptodate acrobat , reader of vintage last update 8.1.3.
next: go printer utility , remove adobepdf print driver.
then open raeder or acrobat , go menu.
scroll down repair-replace. click on adobepdf printer only. , run
now try create pdf. if works fixed.
if not try repair permissions disk utility. se if works now.
if not go web browser , applejack low level repair utility, down load, install. (download version system osx.3, osx.4, osx.5, etc.)
next go single user mode , after b&w screen comes , have blinking block cursor. type applejack.
run each option in order. not on several run system , user.
some items take long time complete. especial when repair in low level files systems
after last item has been run follow instructions quit , reboot.
note: after run , boot computer has rebuild clean cache file , may take while boot up. seeing winder, blue screen, , rebulding of dock , main menu.
once complete. computer should time run faster.
now try create pdf , see happens.
if doesn't work may have uninstall , reinstall , run updates before doing anything.
if none of works. come , let know
