Thread: Java plugin not working

i having trouble getting java plugin work on ubuntu 9.10 (i386 version, on athlon cpu).

using stock firefox 3.6 downloaded mozilla. installed in /opt/firefox.

have installed java sdk downloaded sun in /opt/jdk1.6.0_18.

in past, have got java plugin work symlinking firefox/plugins directory jdk's jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so file. however, doesn't seem work on latest ubuntu/firefox. don't see java plugin listed in about: plugins browser page.

tried linking libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins didn't work either.

know might wrong? appreciated.

yes, linking wrong file. link current java file libnpjp2.so, instead.

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe
