Reconnecting computer to a running Arduino program
i want test sketch on long time (days?) overflow etc., not have computer tied via usb, , on, , unavailable other use, time.
is there way disable , disconnect usb connection while sketch running (on battery connection of course), use computer other things, or turn off, , later reconnect , resume monitoring sketch output of, say, timing count. know how disable , reenable usb port @ computer.
i know need pay attention data sizes , see @ least 1 (somewhat confusing me) forum suggestion of how handle overflow issues, want test results. don't need microsecond precision or accuracy, seconds fine.

if have ethernet or wifi why not run web server on arduino?
when switch on pc connect web server collect data, e.g.
