Thread: getting webcam to work in skype


i'm newbie ubuntu (9.10) , have been unable webcam work in skype.

works fine in cheese.

, didn't make difference.

i'm running beta version of skype: 2.1.0.81

on dell inspiron e1505 laptop. audio in skype works fine.

video options window in skype says:
cif single chip (/dev/video0)

ls -la /dev/video0 output
