yesterday when pc booting went through it's usual startup processes, after grub loading message grub menu appeared , stopped there. tried manually select latest kernel ......19.... nothing happened. mouse dead... keyboard dead. after searching found fix required enabling usb legacy in bios. worked fine, every time pc boots/reboots have grub menu appearing , have manual select procedure finish booting process. can advise how can fixed pc boots desktop? btw.... have searched endlessly solution date found nothing works. oh.... have ubuntu 9.10 installed.... no dual boot setup! appreciate assistance! cheers.... nuffy help anyone?? i using ati binary drivers (but not ati specific). problem : when play video file on totem or vlc, video blank (audio fine). fortunately found workaround @ http://www.fordnox.com/blog/2009/12/...-dual-monitor/ . in gstreamer-properties change video output "autodetect" "x window system (no xv)". works totem. vlc have go video preferences select "x11" video. going on wrong? there can fix autodetection works? not sure if dual monitor specific or not. set : lenevo notebook ati 3400, connected external monitor through dvi. bump, before dies. idea why video not work other x11? ati driver related , not related dual monitors. buonasera tutti. mi sono cimentato da qualche giorno nel voler imparare approfonditamente la struttura interna degli atmega di arduino, in particolare la versione "uno" che monta 328p-pu. ho letto nel datasheet che al suo interno ci sono dei fuse e di lock bit che possono essere programmati per svariate funzioni. ho effettuato diverse programmazioni con uno dei programmatori consigliatomi da esperti cioà un avrdragon, perchè mi han detto che essendo io non pratico di fuse e lock bit, sicuramente bloccherò, brikkerò 328p-pu senza poterli piu adoperare, se non attraverso l'uso di un programmatore hv. ho infatti brikkato tre 328p-pu e non riesco ripristinarli. qualcuno puo darmi una mano resuscitarli? grazie se ben ricordo il avrdragon fa anche da programmatore hv ... prova cercare eventualmente anche sul sito di atmel . guglielmo edit : c'è una pagina dedicata alla programmazione hv Arduino Forum

hello all i working on project school involves programing drone land on given position placed professor. remote provided includes 2 ir sensors can used.  because of such, use these 2 sensors 'counters', lack of better term (i'm brand new this..my apologizes).  program of timing each distance accordingly before hand, , hoping use these sensors call correct program. example: the professor sets landing pad 10 feet forward , 3 feet left. given situation, idea then: start program timer using milli() cover 1 ir sensor 10 seconds (correlates 10 feet forward) , release cover other ir sensor 3 seconds (correlates 3 feet horizontal motion) , release by doing this, want able start flight program , use according pitch yaw roll numbers set according duration of time each sensor covered. does seem feasible concept? if so, love feedback how run style of timer before running through if/else if loops. thank you!!! my mythtv backend (mythbuntu 9.10) has been operating fine, hdtv recorder, file server, etc. installed netatalk (appletalk file server) in attempt improve file sharing mac systems. shortly after installing netatalk started experiencing hard system lockups (non-responsive system, no ping or arp responses, no caps-lock response on keyboard). tried info via magic sysrq key combinations, got nothing (i'm not sure if works usb keyboard or not). so, removed netatalk package , rebooted remove appletalk kernel module , clean things out. since doing that, have had no more system lockups. hardware: via artigo a2000 barebones nas box. via c7 cpu (32 bit x86), 1gb so-dimm, 2tb data drive, 500gb os drive software: clean mythbuntu 9.10 install, operating primary mythtv backend + samba server. netatalk, got lockups every 2 days, since removing it, system has been stable 2 weeks. wanted post here in case others experience similar issues. debugg

i measuring/monitoring voltage of 5 volt supply using a6 pin of nano. worked fine until needed toggle power of nano. when remove 5volts on vin line nano stays powered !!!! way can shut off nano removing 5 volts a6 pin. should happen ? if how can prevent voltages on analog inputs powering nano ? do not apply external voltage exceeds supply voltage pin directly - back-power board through protection diodes, exceed rated maximum current through protection diodes , potentially damage arduino. how blow pins. if can't arrange voltage not present on pin when board not powered, put 10k resistor between analog pin , external voltage; keep current low enough prevent damage. if put 5v onto vin pin, you'll 3.something on 5v pin - vin goes through regulator, has minimum dropout of 1.something volts. if supplying external 5v, need put on 5v pin, not vin pin. if supplying via vin pin, need give @ least 7v 5v out. bonjour, suite un post résolu mais un peu bordélique je me permet dans crée un nouveau pour un cas plus précis. la gestion de la température. je suis sur un projet de lave-vaisselle contrôlé via arduino, tout est bon sauf une chose, lors du lavage la température ne ce maintient pas, un membre de ce forum ma donc aidé mais sa ne fonctionne pas. lors du lavage (washthedishes) la température devrait être maintenu 68°c en allumant et éteignant un relais qui contrôle la résistance de chauffe, mais cela ne fonctionne pas. et pire le programme passer 68°c passe la tache suivante donc la vidange puis le remplissage ... sans eteindre la pompe de cyclage ni la résistance (dans mon code avant l'ajout de la gestion de température (tempmaintien) arrivé 68°c la tache était terminé est il éteigne tout comme il ce devait. donc en gros je voudrait de l'aide pour que la temperature soit maintenu pendant toute la durée de la tache et enlever le fait que passer 68°c il passe une autre ta

hi,   i converting docx pdf using save --> pdf --> clicking on options , selecting create bookmarks using headings , publish. the conversion done perfectly. after encrypting, or changing name of bookmark , saving after that, bookmark links lost. when right click on bookmark , checking there link, there nothing.   i noticed if use microsoft word 2007 sp2 problem resolved. however, have various pdfs converted (and don't have original doc) need encrypt. not possible lose bookmarks.   is there solution this? why did use microsoft add-on conversion? why didn't use 'convert adobe pdf' adobe acrobat? trying find step step tutorial on example making eyes blink in still image in ae. found couple of tutorials doing in ps, know can done in ae using liquify tools. have searched many sites. have played liquify tool, close eyes fine, seem set key frames make them open , close. if know of free tutorial of have effect appreciate it. using cs4. i don't have tutorial, setting keyframes displacement mesh liquify should trick... or, animate mask.   what have tried?
