i have small (6 pages) live site using 1.5 beta. version info is: joomla! 1.5.0 beta [ khepri ] 12-oct-2006 00:00 gmt i want move using latest stable. can't find topic on this. understand there's no upgrade path, i'm prepared delete installation , reinstall if necessary, find how this. i know how delete database , create new one. but how delete current install of 1.5 beta? can't tell folders/file in public_html folder joomla files. i'm afraid copy files... won't leave unneeded junk on server? make copy of files , database (configuration.php handy example). if want deinstall, first uninstall 3rd party extensions (including templates) if have any. then download 1.5 final pc, , extract it. can see directories , files in root of install joomla's. compare live site, , should know joomla , not. hello, yesterday,using synaptic package manager,i uninstalled evolution , downloaded thunderbird in place. downloaded lightning calendar. morning,when logged on,it took me kde desktop. logged on again,stopping @ password screeen,and sure enough,it set kde(at bottom of screen),but gnome option gone menu drop down. so,i tried find software download manager reinstall gnome desktop. "software sources" password screen,i not type in space provided password. went ubuntu software,and showed synaptic package manager installed. @ top of "kickoff application launcher" tried enter package manager,but again,it not accept typing. so,how gnome desktop option back? software package should download once accept password? don't mind having kde have both. -------------- thank you. code: sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop and leave evolution is, igniore it, don`t remove it.

hello there... having trouble disabling acl in joomla, doing because causes problems while login xml files. i've doing because customer ask (security issues, don't trust database). however, registration process working expected, starting session gives message "please login or register view or modify profile.". i found because $my->id null, when set correctly before. in components/com_comprofiler/comprofiler.php line 262: userprofile($option, $my->id, _ue_update); it seems value gone because alternating database code whit xml handling code, , acl looks in database, process fails. maybe in wrong approach, suggestion save/load user profiles using xml files whit joomla , community builder appreciated. i using: apache version : 2.2.6  php version : 5.2.5, mysql version : 5.0.45, joomla 1.0.13, cb 1.1 on winbox. thanks in advance. the attached screen shot shows master layout, set facing pages. recto page has orange rectangle pica of bleed. verso page holds text.  below can see 2 working pages, , appear okay.   the problem orange rectangle isn't treated bleed, , left edge shows on right side of recto pages. how tell indesign thing should bleed?  thanks. your image queued, can't see yet.   in order put bleed object on gutter of facing pages document , not have show on other half of spread need "split" spread.   this done selecting spread, panel menu unchecking "allow selected spred shuffle," , deselecting spread, selecting 1 of pages , dragging away spine until see vertical line.   this real pain if spreads need treatment, brings question of why need bleed in gutter @ all? how bound? hello, have rather vexing problem can't seem wrap head around, nor find mention of in docs or google.   i have video file imported (swf) , have simple behaviour set when user clicks button, jumps 10 seconds forward in video. using script make happen:       currentframe = sprite(5).frame + 150     sprite(5).gotoframe (currentframe)   the video 14 minutes long, , runs @ 15fps.   the 'skip forward 10 seconds' button works perfectly, until reach 10 minutes (9000 frames). @ point pressing button causes video start playing beginning. heres weird bit: if *don't* press button, , let video play, continues past 10 minute mark no issues. @ point after 10 minutes if click button, video rewinds beginning.   the property inspector cast member shows contains 9000 frames, consistant sprite(5).framecount reports. video contains *more* 9000 frames, director able play them. have tried continuously polling sprite using sprite(5)frame see whats happening, , if let video play without skippin

hi there! please can me?! did stupid thing few days ago when trying garmin work in ubuntu 9.10 , installed called qt , un installed libusb-0.1-4 , installed newer version, thought. after that, pc wouldn't shut down using menu, used power button gave me choice of restart or shut down shut down way. in morning, got error 15 file not found on boot - grub menu - , have tried suggested on ubuntu forums , elsewhere , nothing works! oh, after uninstalling , installing libusb, half system administration menu items disappeared noticed, before shutting down. have dual boot system windows vista , ubuntu installed on external usb drive have feeling error uninstalling of libusb package. have tried installing again no results. root (hd1,5). have done process results.txt file have that. please help, work computer , thank goodness can still boot windows using grub menu can still work a) hate windows , b) didn't evolution mail before crash can't function well. thank i

i think i've missed basic concept in joomla. i have 10 individual pages ...all related 1 topic. instance.. have table of contents , 9 pages of related information. my end goal have table of contents link each of individual pages.
