just got new dell 5110cn , issue driving me nuts.   indesign cs3, vista 64-bit. using ps3 driver 5110cn, not pcl driver.   i have disabled device font substitution in driver. have gone font substitution table , set "don't substitute."   when print directly id cs3, "fi" ligatures in words "certificate" or "verification" drop out.   the font in question "times".   if export document pdf, ligatures view fine , print fine pdf.   illustrator-created eps files word "certificate" dropped id cs3 print fine when printed direct.   i can print ms word documents have word "certificate" in times directly printer , print fine (but know, word isn't using same ligature method).   while new printer, behavior apears isolated indesign (printing direct adobe illustrator fine well).   what gives??? did check download ppd fonts checkbox in print dialog? in joomla 1.0x installations, used both mycontent , community builder.  both of these gave me ability have users manage content on front end -- have access not-yet-published or expired content (for re-use).  neither of these tools available in 1.5 flavor yet , i'd prefer not run in legacy mode. is aware of tool 1.5 compatible capable of giving authors (and up) access front end article management? i've gotten rid of grub bootloader , restored default windows bootloader , , have deleted other partitions windows not installed on problem when first installed ubuntu 9.10 chose install side side instead of on separate partition im convinced still have ubuntu remains on pc. idea on how remove it? because current partition windows runs on still shows 80gb of 136gb free before installed ubuntu 136 gb free im sure still have ubuntu left. how rid of ubuntu if chose install ubuntu "side side" instead of on separate partition? running windows vista sp1 on hp dv4 if deleted partitions ubuntu installed on, have left space unallocated , windows still looking @ resized partition created when installed ubuntu. you'll need allocate unused space creating , formatting new partition it's available windows again. hi, i've prototyped project working external esp-01 (in voltage convertor/support module).  have got several prototypes runnings esp modules on several different @ firmwares to try make project more compact have tried wemos mega 2560 (with onboard 32mbit flash) reflashed latest @ command set. the project has basic web pages , emails, dweets , ifttts, , syncs clock ntp. basically works fine on prototypes external esp-01 significant web or internet client operation flaky hit , miss whether works or timeouts on wemos. i've tried changing timeout values in library , various baud rates as far can see trace debug timeouts being detected within library. i'm using wifiesp-master library.  wifi signal being reported. any ideas of other things try appreciated. anyone got ideas? (i've ordered second wemos board try rule out hardware issue). i cannot see code must quite sure it's hardware issue. you're nebulous flaky behavior. please explain,

hey all, i don't know if stupid query or not.  work extensively php , such find ourselves using code hinting reasonable level.  have found frustrating though have extensive library of functions have created cannot see when using code hinting (at stage anyway).   does know if there switch or extension of dreamweaver intellisense allow intelligently scan our php files functions should listed in code hints?    dreamweaver extends css i'm guessing it's possible can't work our or how.   any appreciated. dreamweaver doesn't code introspection of php custom functions or classes. is, however, feature has been requested much. so, might included in future version. fingers crossed. i have installed 9.04 , 9.10 sandisk cruizer 8 gb usb sticks - separate sticks each - tried use on 2 differetnt sony laptops 4 gn memory, 2.5 ghz core duo takes 4 minutes or more boot each app takes 10 seconds start loading firefox slow can enter 8 words before waiting 15 seconds show on screen. ubuntu supposed work on sony laptops via usb sticks? installed cdrom using install option choosing sdb dev assigned usb stick , put grub on stick. seemed go okay. acts ubuntu isn't using of memory..like maybe trying run in 1k instead of 4gb. ideas? see lots of google posts 9.10 being slow isn't operational in installs , live cd slow too. i think talking using "try ubuntu out changes" means ubuntu being parshaly loaded ram , rest being loaded off cd (or in case usb drive) consitrably slower actual install, meant preview of os. not permanet working version of it.

running kubuntu karmic, kernel 2.6.31-19, on asus eee pc 1000. wicd 1.7.0. hangs on "wired connection: obtaining ip address...". have downgraded 1.6.2 , 1.5.9, did not solve issue. wicd work under other circumstances, e.g. wireless connection. (but @ home don't have wireless, modem , ethernet.) same wired connection ethernet connection works flawlessly on laptop running windows xp sp2. appreciated. i have figured out how fix problem, simple fix: restart modem ethernet cable connected laptop. however, wicd connected eth0 (ethernet connection), reason cannot connect internet. error message "server not found" if internet connection down. not: can connect internet windows xp laptop. suggestions appreciated. thanks. hi, i have upgraded site v1.0.11 v1.0.13. success! tried install joomla! tools suite. got funky error messages - this: sql error db function failed error number 1062 duplicate entry '1' key 1 sql=insert `jos_jts` values (1,'1.0.0rc1','0','never'); sql = insert `jos_jts` values (1,'1.0.0rc1','0','never'); not sure or why happened. sure because mucked about! any advice appreciated. try uninstalling jts, checking phpmyadmin #__jts tables have been deleted, , "administrator/components/com_jts/" directory has been deleted, , try re-installing jts-c Board index Joomla! greetings all,   i frequent user of fm last year.  closely monitor these forums, have posted few times.   my question relates import of graphics/images fm documents.  make short documents (memos, reports, etc.) number few pages may have several graphics used.  in these case, prefer import graphic file directly fm document (as opposed reference) in order keep file managment issues minimized (we small engineering company).  on larger projects, typically use referenced graphics because of obvious efficiencies have been discussed many times in these forums.   the basic issue ballooning of file size when importing graphics (png, jpeg, gif, etc.) fm document.  use svg or eps files when doing full-blown development, everyday documents vector formats not practical us.  in latest file have been working (a short technical report), there 1 png file of 75 kb.  baseline fm9 document without graphic 45 kb.  after importing png, file balloons 2.8 mb--a 23x file size increase.   my understanding cause

a strange response from this useful site : multim_size - warning! total size of external multimedia 118955 bytes, on 20k. consider optimizing multimedia files size, or replacing them lower-bandwidth alternatives, or eliminating them altogether. strange : multim_size first off don't know external mm files are, second because have identical copy of entire site on host , diagnosis give me different response multim_size  (no one). due recent issues i'm having server, bandwidth , connection...i'm trying find bugging source of troubles. thank all. multim_size size of external multimedia files. try checking each of links , making short without http this: for example: http://www.yoursite.com/images/file.jpg&nbsp; to  just  images/file.jpg or find way that. hope understand tried do, hehehe. my website taking between 15 30 seconds generate on server, measured wby pagecache component. i use latest joomla 1.0.x , virtuemart 1.0.x , modules being used virtuemart shop module , virtuemart random product module, tried disable still takes lot generate. only other component working on site sh404sef, tried disable no significative difference. i tried pagecache 2.0 component didn't got improvement -anyway, generation time function nice 1 -. have looked problems on css, w3 validator errors, etc... still being ubberslow , can't think else at. queries frontpage 130. i take suggestion find error , how fix it. oh, way site http://www.dragons-spirit.com i have been told see if sh404sef or other sef component affecting performance, must disable hours before can see benefit of disabling it, true?
