Thread: 9.04 and 9.10 Too Slow To Use

i have installed 9.04 , 9.10 sandisk cruizer 8 gb usb sticks - separate sticks each -
tried use on 2 differetnt sony laptops
4 gn memory, 2.5 ghz core duo
takes 4 minutes or more boot
each app takes 10 seconds start loading
firefox slow can enter 8 words before waiting 15 seconds show on screen.

ubuntu supposed work on sony laptops via usb sticks? installed cdrom using install option choosing sdb dev assigned usb stick , put grub on stick. seemed go okay.

acts ubuntu isn't using of memory..like maybe trying run in 1k instead of 4gb.

ideas? see lots of google posts 9.10 being slow isn't operational in installs , live cd slow too.

i think talking using "try ubuntu out changes" means ubuntu being parshaly loaded ram , rest being loaded off cd (or in case usb drive) consitrably slower actual install, meant preview of os. not permanet working version of it.

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe

esp8266 (nodemcu 0.9) client.write très lent ???
