hi, i used guide hook 1.5v dc motor . difference use 3.3v controller instead of 5v. everything works fine, not sure understand how control voltage pwm. if use 3.3/255 = 0.013, 1.5 volts should reached when set pwm pin 115, motor's performance have not reached max there , feels quite weak. if turn pin (which shouldn't), motor can spin faster. if measure voltage across motor, when running, voltage never exceeds 1.5, no matter how high set pwm pin. my question is: how reach maximum performance without risking destroying either motor or controller? i'm going guess 3.3v power supply isn't "holding-up" under load.    check that.  you'll need "bigger" power supply or different voltage regulator.    if you're using on-board 3.3v regulator, motor rated 1/2 amp , that's (depending on how voltage dropping across regulator).   if regulator hot touch, that's bad sign. quote if measure voltage across motor, when runn

hi guys/girls i have sketch reads incoming serial data, displays on 5x led 7 segment displays via max7219 chip. the serial data comes in identifier , value, separated colon - eg 9918:25000 the sketch assign value variable, , update displays there little code split value digits each display , omit leading 0 one variable tells display show dashes if set 1, otherwise shows full value. it works, , values change correctly of time, switching blanking variable 1 0, doesn't change display.  have 3-5 times change sometimes, other times if works fine. to troubleshoot, have tried changing baud rate 9600 right 115200, have tried uno, mega , arm 32 board same results. i have attached serial monitor serial source, , data coming in correctly, when displays dont change. rx light on board flickers every time well, not data coming in. i have more complex sketch same thing, randomly doesn't update. it seems more when value set or 0. both sketches use same serial input processing, im thi

i installed hardy on hard drive via usb... after solving error 21 problem here am... booted fine on linux laptop. brought drive on windows xp desktop. select 1 time boot menu , select boot usb drive. grub menu , after selecting os on there... hello all!   so use lightroom 99% of editing. past thursday started internship @ daily herald in elgin, il photojournalist (yes, amazing!). use photo mechanic , photoshop work flow.   i on assignment yesterday (graduation ceremony) , wanted 20 images , last night have on 100 images for. want make quick edits these (crop, white balance, curves etc) , way easier/faster make edits in lightroom, since built for.   the problem here seems jpegs lightroom puts out. system upload not accept/gets unhappy when gets 'progressive' jpegs. now, when save image in ps jpeg, little dialogue box pops asking quality , baseline 'standard/optimized/progressive' , want me use 'standard'.   okay, no problem. haven't been able find similar options in lightroom , none of lightroom-edited jpegs worked in system. current option export lr, open them in ps , batch save-as rather not re-compress images many times.   any ideas?   thanks, ks as former photog news, i'd not worry shred

i'm brand new creating air applications. started design utility in flash cs4 own use. had intended simple swf, decided make air app experiment, , perhaps share others in future.   basically, application allows use drag-resize box measure pixel dimensions of area onscreen (photo, windows window, etc.) wanted allow resized dimensions size of screen. chrome custom , transparent alpha box overlay on whatever you're measuring. however, i've run few problems, primary 1 being cannot set app run maximized screen size , allow graphics extend beyond dimensions of stage in source fla (it gets clipped @ edges of stage). decided forget , set maximum size of stage. so, box stretch out dimensions, can resized upper limit set (preferrably 1600px x 900px).   annoyingly, i've found stage size in source fla beyond 1500px x 850px causes air app respond slowly. @ sizes below that, app responds quickly, if windowed swf. question is, there practical upper limit size of air app window? mean, i
