hey guys, first post on forum bare me please, last weekend migrated windows 7 rtm ubuntu 9.10 , xp vm using vmware unity windows apps. it's been going ok far, couple of issues network manager cvpn plugin. setup work's vpn ipsec remote access pix 515 , client's ipsec-ra vpn asa 5510. both connected , passed traffic home network, when take laptop work, or network, vpns connect, won't pass traffic. in experience double nat issue (i know it's not because it's worked these sites before) or firewall issue. although network guy @ heart (mostly cisco) know nothing ip tables or how troubleshoot linux firewalls. appreciated, use vpns time work , if can't them work reliably may have switch windows update, did more testing , cvpn connections work home network, no else, i've been testing in places i've used vpns before, such vpning office client, , client site office. found way

using lr 2.3 windows 7 beta. seems me there should preference or option set destination folder image sent editing in photoshop. default folder originals located, seems me worst choice. in event, can't find in lr user can choose destination folder edited image. ideally, user should able choose each set of images being edited, , choice available in dialog appears when user sends image out photoshop.   so there way set destination folder image results sending image out editing in photoshop or other external application?   any appreciated. it seems me there should preference or option set destination folder image sent editing in photoshop. maybe should, there isn't. original folder only.   for photoshop cs4 there workaround, when you're opening in photoshop 'normal' way, i.e. without rendering options. use save as instead save , point location want. again, not work if set cs4 external editor manually. hello, ran little issue doing tutorial http://www.webdesign.org/web/photoshop/web-layout/dark-style-web-template.16864.html in tutorial tells in 2 different sections make selection i'm guessing marquee tool. first in header section (which looks sorta triangular) , second menu bar ask select top half. in both request tell fill in white , turn opacity 5%. knowledge when use marquee tool have no clu how made marquee tool "hug" graphic way in images in tutorial. in second 1 seems cut rounded rectangle in half marquee hugs curves of top half of rounded rectangle. plus when use marquee tool , try "fill" won't let me. had use rectangle marquee tool , "layer via copy" cut image in half fill in white , reduce opacity 5%. seem same result definetely feel there's i'm missing. in total training dvd's remember learning use left , right arrow key tighten marquee object believe in fireworks. there shortcut in ps? please help!........ frustrated dedic

hi! wanted install source mods. i've tried .exe installer , zip archive. mods in correct directory both times. didn't appeared in steam games list panel. question how can them appear in list? this first post please excuse me if answer trivial.   i creating simple project movie clip contains motion tween lasting 180 frames.   so create tween layer , create animation.   i create layer , perform stop(); on frame 30.   when compile or test,  produces loads of 1172 errors common classes (like vector) cannot found. 100 errors!   this targeting flash player 10. when target player 9 works.   have things changed dramatically flash player 10?   what consequences of continuing flash player 9? prefer fix problem , enhance knowledge.   thanks guys. i having real problems here.   as3->flash player 10 produces complile erros using stop(); on frame 30 as3->flash player 9 no complie errors not stop as3-<flash player 8 works should.   ?? hi, i installed 4.1.0 update premiere cs4 , since cannot create hdv projects or capture hdv footage. still worked fine few hours ago, update problem? remember @ time using trial version there no hdv available in premiere. using full version quite while , didn't have troubles it. update thing comes mind, might have caused it. apart hdv option disappearing else works fine (e.g. cs4 doesn't ask me serial number or that). capturing hdv footage in hdvsplit still works, doesn't seem problem either.   i running vista 64, cam canon hv20   any ideas?   thanks! from looks of it, trial never removed. suggestion completey remove adobe applications, run cleanscript , install full version anew, updates. for reason, typical keyboard shortcut 'bold' text ctrl+shift+b seems assigned in illustrator cs3 show/hide bounding box. there doesn't appear 'bold' option in illustrator defaults change it. i've tried deleting prefs file, it's still same. indesign , photoshop fine, not illustrator. can't seem find in forums...can help? many in advance. james. in cases (and some) it's enough enter b in type style box in character palette. this works if style called "bold" available in specific font using. illy doesn't create faux bold other apps. do. hello all, there way modify location of system tray icons (such audio , wifi) or possibly remove them? on related note, know how disable dropbox systemtray icon? tia right click on notification area , uncheck "lock panel", free move within panel. can remove right clicking , selecting "remove panel". if need add after removing right click , select "add panel" , find notification area launcher. don't believe there way move single icons because part of notification area, nor can removed unless close them/remove them starting in notification area. hi, i going use couple of toggle switches , rotary switch (11 positions), , ask questions how use them, purpose. making keyboard device, signals should interpreted key press. i did check tutorials how use momentary switch; toggle switch; can't use same logic, since button goes off when release pressure on it; while toggle stay on until turn off again. objective toggle switch on, , have signal being registered once only; instead of being on. when turn off toggle switch, signal processed again. want use toggle switch momentary switch. same goes rotary switch: has 11 positions, thinking if possible use trigger button press. give idea; have rotary switch behave throttle wheel may find on boat; @ 0 (position 6 example, center of rotary switch), if turn right 1 position; press button increase speed of boat; if go 1 more on right; "increase speed" pressed; if go 1 position, speed decrease. i thought of keeping variable increase , decrease, based on current position , p

i know has been posted before, no 1 ever got bottom of this. here issue again: adobe premiere pro cs4 isn't able recognize mjpeg codecs i've bought , installed on computer. i'm given choice of codecs came adobe (which isn't ideal @ all).   has there been solution problem since march? well, little mysterious. after rebooting lost settings of gnome panels. transparent became opaque, of launchers had disappeared, new came (epiphany, window selector) , lost other settings nautilus bookmarks, locations , weather related configurations clock applet , compiz configurations. i'd add can find of lost launchers under ~/.gnome2/panel2.d/default/launchers directory don't show on panel. also, can't change icons of folders (just symlinks actually) on desktop. possibly cause such mess? ideas? thanks! i tried installing prospecthd trial after effects cs4 , got (0 :: 42) error @ opening after having working once it.   i searched web code , forums , said it`s preferences, opengl or pluggins.   i have desinstalled prospecthd trial , fixed problem.   i`d know before buying if (0 :: 42) bug known , if occurs ?   i'm under windows vista 64-bit on pc. the 0::42 error message generic. contact developer , ask if updated version cs4 or available. apparently, version 4.01 out purpose? have no experience product, though.
