as3 flash project targetting flash player 10 error 1172

this first post please excuse me if answer trivial.

 

i creating simple project movie clip contains motion tween lasting 180 frames.

 

so create tween layer , create animation.

 

i create layer , perform stop(); on frame 30.

 

when compile or test,  produces loads of 1172 errors common classes (like vector) cannot found. 100 errors!

 

this targeting flash player 10. when target player 9 works.

 

have things changed dramatically flash player 10?

 

what consequences of continuing flash player 9? prefer fix problem , enhance knowledge.

i having real problems here.

 

as3->flash player 10 produces complile erros using stop(); on frame 30

as3->flash player 9 no complie errors not stop

as3-<flash player 8 works should.
