I need to publish a list in a grid - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi everybody, i'm new joomla, need publish list of articles in grid, know alternate row bkg color, , each article title link pdf file or button trigger pdf file. can body guide me achive it. there extention install? how can make it?

first of all, let me welcome joomla!  here find lots of folks love others build great websites using joomla.

there several ways approach situation, suggest start docman or remository.

these 2 joomla "extensions" designed document / download management.  provide way set categories of documents, upload documents categories, , make them downloadable users.

now, if appearance of downloads here don't suit you, write joomla "article" , set grid manually.  use "table" , give alternating rows different color backgrounds , provide links pdfs.

if take route, recommend use in conjunction docman.  there nice "plug-in" puts easy links docman documents in article editor.
