3 Quick Questions - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i'm new joomla, meaning have downloaded 1.0.13 via fantastico (through host). have read quick start guide, absolute beginners guide, 140 page cb 1.1 guid, many forums. despite vast surface knowledge, have couple of lingering questions.

1. wish upgrade 1.5, fantastico has no auto-upload yet. if manually, in same path current, automatically replace - know? i'm going try anyway, direction if doesn't work.

2. 1.5 download section has 3 downloads on joomla! site. download them all, or first 1 full version?

3. if have older mac, osx no built in intel, have problems viewing modules/templates?

ok ... answers questions, best can anyway ! :)

  • there specific upgrade process go through if wish maintain data existing install. if don't, or it's simple recreate, recommend start scratch. i'm afraid have no specific experience of fantastico though.
  • no ... whichever 1 have 'unzip' tool for. same files, packaged different tools. suggest use .zip file it's far universal package/compression application across platforms.
  • no. ability view , interact joomla! down os browser really. cpu behind pretty irrelevant. suggest use safari or, ideally on mac os x, firefox v2.x

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe

esp8266 (nodemcu 0.9) client.write très lent ???
