Thread: Synaptic Woes


hi all. have intalled ubuntu 9.10 , have been having strange issues while trying install adobe flashplugin.

firstly tried using ubuntu software centre when clicked on flash installer option, said hardware architecture wasn't supported. i'm using 32 bit , older dual core bit strange.

couldn't connect internet @ found forum entry showed me how disable ipv6 in grub, mozilla , network connections manager. have connection.

disconnect seems in way ubuntu accessing repositories. have tried reload button in synaptic stalls on first file , shows nothing under "show indivdual file information" , times out later bunch of failed attempts logged in window.

have tried working source.list file friend , didn't either. i'm not sure info need provide can me if post i'll best.

try running following command in terminal (applications > accessories > terminal)....type or copy/paste:

sudo apt-get update
enter password when prompted (you not see type carefully), press enter. post output here.
