Assigning value from Flash

thank in advance help.

 

i have following problem. want embed .swf animation captivate project. .swf form, user submits , need assign validated value form variable in captivate movie, can used on other frames. searched around, tried code, unfortunately didn't work.

 

 

submit_btn.addeventlistener(mouseevent.click,validate_func);

 

function validate_func(e) {

//do validation here
_parent._parent.userinputincaptivatevar=userinputinflashvar.text;

 

how can assign value? should variable userinputincaptivatevar defined in captivate or defined code?

i attacthing as2 fla file. can try this.

 

please create captivate project , create user variable cpvar value.

 

insert , text caption , set diaplay sufficient time.

 

then use attached animation , publish project. type in input field , press button.

 

the text caption updated.

 

note:the variable must defined in captivate. note when animation set "rest of project" placed on main timeline. other display time settings placed inside movie clip of own, hence referencing change.
