Premiere 6.5 closes when i turn the camcorder

i have problem capture video minidv camera in premiere 6.5 whith fireware port. when turn camera got error "adobe premiere has encountered problem , needs close".

 

so far have captured lot of analog video pinnacle dv500 without problem error dv video in both fireware port on motherboard pinnacle card.

 

specs: asus p5w hd deluxe motherboard, intel core2 2,4ghz cpu, 3gb ram,  asus 8800 gts graphic card , pinnacle dv500 dvd capture card winxp pro sp3.

 

any suggestions solve error?

you may have tried of these, here goes:

 

1.) remove all other fw devices computer. have camera plugged in. work?

2.) if have more 1 fw port, try another, see #1 above, before do

3.) plug in , turn on camera (should windows "bong-bong") launch pr6.5 , try again. see #1 above.

4.) plug in , turn on camera (see #3 above) , not launch pr6.5 yet. go control panel>system>hardware>device manager. check both camera , ieee-1394 controller. ok. see #1 above.

5.) if no luck far, , checks out in device manager, plug in camera, not turn on yet. launch pr6.5, , open capture panel. no device should detected. if so, check out is. if no device, turn on camera , x fingers. see #1 above.

 

with cameras, exact sequence of events can yield different results. these usually regards camera recognition , device control, , not crashes. still, try every possible sequence. cameras touchy fw connection. if have 6-pin connection, careful connector on camera can fried. i've read reports of 4-pin connectors being fried, not see how possible - still, there have been reports.

 

if have no other fw devices, , windows checks out everything, @ real loss give cure. if windows not find ok, fw port, fw controller, cable or camera.
