I can't seem to apply a list style to a snippet

i made snippet contains procedure steps 1 3.  can't seem apply procedure list style snippet.  understand snippet takes on style in destination topic - mean have create each step snippet?

if have list style other default or you're using class, may need hard code style list items in snippet when insert topic, style applied correctly.

 

i've found (in rh7) steps in snippet numbered correctly in middle of procedure, set steps in snippet list items without opening/closing <ol> or <ul> tags. then, when insert in topic, click , drag end of previous step, not new paragraph. makes numbering continue correctly.
