javascript script object and table flow help

two problems:

 

problem 1

i'm trying figure out best way handle function on attached form (form under construction , messy!).

 

there requirement attaching files form. have figured out, handle better. there 8 places attaching files , each time move things around have edit code each button, i'm thinking putting function in script object way go (let me know if there's better way!).

 

i think i've got how script objects work, haven't tried yet there pieces haven't been able figure out yet.

 

the way works click attachment button, attach file, , filename gets entered field surrounding button - there's separate field surrounding each button (see subform "subprojectinfo.subattach" on page 2). can't figure out if put function/script object, how filename appropriate box? have return data button, guess, can populate field?

problem 2

near bottom of same page (2) subform (subprojectinfo.submilestones) expanding table. followed example in purchase order sample, i'm having trouble getting headers repeat properly. when breaks new page, top header repeats every time row added.

 

 

extra bonus question!

i'm hoping 1 of more knowledgeable types can take @ structure of form , let me know how looks "best practices" point of view - use of subforms, kind of thing. i've been using lots of subforms wrap things , have been wondering performance, sort of thing. complex form i've done date , want make sure i'm going down correct road!
