Thread: cpu temp with hp pavillion?

i want see cpu's temp on top application panel, after installed computer temperature monitor there's huge x caption, "no thermal monitor support!" ideas?

don't know how computer temperature monitor works, other solutions read thermal sensors in machine.

if haven't already, install lm-sensors synaptic.

once installed, open terminal , enter "sudo sensors-detect" , reply yes questions.

@ end, update config allow sensor monitoring.

after that, reboot, open terminal, , enter "sensors". if sensors detected, , correct kernel modules identified , loaded, should see list of settings -- temps, voltages, etc.

if see nothing, means kernel modules don't exist use hardware sensors on machine.
