CS4 to Fireworks: Losing saturation & contrast

any idea why? pulling same image processed in ps, loses lot of impact when view same image in fireworks. subsequently working image in fw , pulling in ps remains duller, less saturated version of ps creation. ideas?   there colorspace compatibility issue?  have cs4 set srgb.

if original image being edited in wider gamut rgb space (adobe rgb, prophoto rgb, etc), fireworks (which don't use) may assume the file srgb.  if case, display duller , flatter appeared in photoshop.  defacto standard internet srgb, recommend working in srgb images going web.  or, work in wider gamut space, convert srgb before bringing image fireworks.

 

.....oops....just saw comment cs4 set srgb.  not sure if fireworks color managed or not.  if not, may displaying file through calibration of monitor, without remapping colors.  fw might strip profile file in effort reduce file size.  mentioned, never used fw, don't know how business.
