Confirmation requested please

would kindly confirm couple of observations - windows xp.

1. in develop module (maybe other modules also) doesn't appear possible add sub-folder user presets. if right-click on folder , add new folder lightroom creates folder in list , not sub-folder desired. design? nice have separate sub folders within user presets hierarchy representative of have been sourced e.g. wow, matt k etc etc.

2. since day 1 working lightroom i've stored preset folder on drive d (applications on drive c) within parent folder called lr backup catalogue placed. entire drive of course further backed ehd. however, i've realised today when right-clicking on user presets , choosing import, though point lr folder on drive d presets located in fact copied identical folder located @ c:/documents , settings/user name/application data/adobe/lightroom. way should , in fact these presets stored within catalogue? reason ask if in fact stored within catalogue , copied on drive c folder there seems little point in locating user presets on over drive d in first place. located them here backup purposes if located within catalogue backed anyway appear duplication.

3. appear plug-ins use, e.g. jfriedl , once again have stored in lightroom folder on drive d, not copied on lightroom folder on drive c. correct, , correct in thinking these plug-ins not stored within catalogue?

1. design, it's not possible add subfolder. however, can add number of top level folders.

2. default folder on c drive , there no easy way change that. if delete default set lr recreate them in default folder. storing presets within catalog helps portability little else.

btw: must have chosen store them in catalog @ point because not default behaviour.

3. can put plug-ins wherever want. they're not stored catalog.
