Newbie: Some scripts not working...Help!

hi all, i'm new livecycle es , scripting. using version 8.2.1 of lc , working through book "creating dynamic forms w/ lc designer" j.p. terry. question not specific book, though.

 

i getting formcalc javascripts , having tough time. seems scripts work fine, others flat out don't run. instance, per pp 140 in book, script "username.rawvalue = "john warwick"; works fine.but next simple script: username.font.typeface = "courier new"; fails execute.there's no rhyme or reason it. simple scripts run, such border.edge.color.value , font.underline, other equally scripts fail such xxx.presence = "hidden".

 

by fail, mean...nothing happens, no error message, no change in appearance of kind. have poured on scripting reference using these simple scripts , have tried them in both formcalc , java. i've created new documents test, rebooted computer, name it!

 

is there simple i'm overlooking here? feel can't move on until figure out going on here. appreciated!

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe

esp8266 (nodemcu 0.9) client.write très lent ???
