Lining up effects on text aligned to circle

i'm working on text go on cd.

 

the text i'm trying create 2 sets of outlined text have gradients , effects applied them.

 

the client wants text aligned in arc approach on cd - did created circle , typed on path. when turned text outlines , tried apply gradients, haven't been able figure out how make gradients line text.

 

i'll attach picture quick mockup of text effects , shape i'm trying above (somehow maintaining placement of gradients)

 

is there way this?

 

set text it's effect straight. use object > envelope distort > make warp > arc create arc cd.

 

this transform everything.

 

 

if want use text on path method, need use radial gradients them arc across text.
