Tweening within a movie clip

hi there,

 

am new flash , wondering if explain this:

 

have imported character flash illustrator , converted movie clip symbol.  want animated floating , down within own movie clip (independently of main timeline) double click on , try , add tweened animation within movie clips' own timeline.  says have convert symbol tweened animation.  why have when did @ start?  i'll have 2 symbols of same thing animate tween within movie clip.  surely symbol did @ start?

 

am bit confused, explain reason why works way?

you can tween symbols, parts within movieclip created want tween need converted symbols in order tween them.  inside symbol, select item (or group of) want animate single entity , choose modify, convert symbol.  can use symbol in each keyframe of timeline animation.
