Characters changing when saving as XML

i new roundtripping between frame , xml, hope question easy.

 

i have element symboltext formats text content according attribute font. is, formats content in font selected font attribute. use set short strings in font different normal paragraph font. allowed values of font symbol, wingdings, wingdings2, wingdings3, , zapfdingbats. suppose content of symboltext character 4 , save file xml. when open xml file notepad, instances display correct content (4), except wingdings , zapfdingbats. in latter cases, content displays box. opening xml firefox indicates these boxes unicode character, , character different in 2 cases: wingdings, character f034; zapfdingbats, character 2714. may not expressing unicode characters correctly, firefox displays boxes these numbers in them.

 

so, why frame converting 4 other character when font wingdings or zapfdingbats? dtd sets encoding utf-8. need set else in frame or in structure application?

 

i using framemaker 9 on xp sp3.

symbol, wingdings, wingdings2, wingdings3 , zapfdingbats aren't mapped unicode.

this prevents being displayed on web pages or in notepad.

 

framemaker map these fonts correctly, because specified fonts in edd.

if qould specify other fonts or paragraph/character formats displayed incorrect there.

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe

esp8266 (nodemcu 0.9) client.write très lent ???
