Air Installer fails silently on Ubuntu 8.10

running adobeairinstaller.bin fails silently. trying install uptodate ubuntu 8.10 intrepid running on 800mhz amd 500mb of memory , loads of disk space. have working flash 10.0 r22 installed.

 

i have done following:

chmod 755 adobeairinstaller.bin

./adobeairinstaller.bin

there 10 second delay followed brief flash of terminal window title bar. 2 seconds later installer exits. nothing else happens

 

i have tried  following:

sudo ./adobeairinstaller.bin

./adobeairinstaller.bin -silent results in:

adobe air not installed
installing version 1.5.1.8210

touch .airinstall.log , .airappinstall.log both files 0 length after repeated ./adobeairinstaller.bin

 

are there dependancies? missing ubuntu installation?

what else can try?

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe

esp8266 (nodemcu 0.9) client.write très lent ???
