Thread: b43-fwcutter install errors using a BCM4306 rev 03

howdy

i'm getting started linux , have run problems. have hp pavillion zv5000 dual boot win xp/ubuntu 9.10. network card bcm4306 rev 03. looking @ other forums looks need b43-fwcutter install drivers.

right have wireless (no direct connect internet). can access wirelessly fine in xp not ubuntu download has in xp restart in ubuntu.

used site guide me on installing b43-fwcutter install cd ran problem

when apply changes synaptic package mgr install b43 come attached error message.

rebooted after trying few time , when went hardware drives ubuntu did see wireless care first time. clicked on activate , said downloading , installing drivers. lasted 10 seconds , window disappeared. rebooted wirless card still not activated. tried activating many times same message came , after 10 seconds disappeared , drives said device not activated.

i'm atempting download , install b43-fwcutter manually since i'm new i'm shooting in dark , guidence appreciated.

the firmware can not delivered ubuntu because of licensing issues. fwcutter download firmware website, ofcourse need internet download, don't have because wireless doesn't work without firmware. endless circle ...

break circle use wired connection or download drivers , cut firmware.

unpack archive find wl_apsta_mimo.o file, , directory run

sudo b43-fwcutter -w /lib/firmware/ wl_apsta_mimo.o
p.s. don't follow instructions ubuntu, since ones try download drivers non-existing network connection. use manual install instead

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe

esp8266 (nodemcu 0.9) client.write très lent ???
