IF / THEN statement to change wording

i require assistance form (attached post). think needs if / expression - wrong.

essentially, user select dropdown - example "what kind of product using?". if select 'carpark' dropdown, text string elsewhere on form needs read "car". if select 'rental' dropdown, text string elsewhere on form needs read "item".

any appreciated.

thank time :-)

i answered question myself hours later - thought i'd post response others might looking...

essentially, answer "floating field" (insert menu -> floating field). m steps implement outlined below...

  1. i gave dropdown name, such "producttype"
  2. i gave each 'answer' in dropdown value (using 'binding' panel attached dropdown)
  3. then added floating field elsewhere on form. in script editor (whilst highlighted on floating field), added new 'calculate' script (using 'formcalc' language) merely following:  producttype

what does, "copy" whatever value set in dropdown called 'producttype', , replicate wherever reference it, usinga floating field (or other type of field).

hope helps!
