Thread: AGN 4965 Wireless Driver Problems

i've seen on forums, each have own problems wireless card... sadly stuck well.

have dell latitude d630c intel agn 4965 wireless.
right have iwlagn driver loaded, when try load iwl4965 loads iwlagn (makes me think connected)

either way, symptoms this:

start computer, wireless works peachy few minutes, until start using connection.

works long time short time, still dosconnects.

when try reconnect tries establish connection ends hanging @

next step rmmod , modprobe driver play.
while doing rmmod (turning off card in sense) dmesg outputs "
mac in deep sleep" on , on , on again, computer hangs 2-4 minutes , driver turns off , fine.

modprobe iwl4965 puts driver , running, can connect again.

driver hella buggy, have idea can fix this? mean, don't want work around many have done (setting rmmod , modprobe in script toggle keypress) complete fix because laptop trying configure going owned friend wants move windows vista ubuntu, , simple user flawless possible... shamefull if come empty handed...

have tried if installing linux-backports-modules-wireless-karmic-generic solves problem?
