Thread: Gnome Panel Applet Refresh

i in need of new gnome panel applet , found looking no problem. grins it's link-monitor-applet. found in synaptic package manager , installed there. did not show in add panel options. uninstalled , installed command line using apt-get, still nothing in add panel dialogue. removed , installed using aptitude , got same thing, no option in add panel list. tried adding custom applet , naming link-monitor-applet, gave error when clicking on it. thought, there must way refresh gnome panel applets list, did not find way so. ended logging out , in , wala link monitor shows , can added.

question this, there command or needs done refresh gnome panel applet list display newly installed applet, short of logging off on?
