Submenus are moving to top of screen in IE8? All other browsers show correctly

first off, new web design , dreamweaver, fast learner. please - presume know little.

 

i using mac, , created horizontal nav bar using spry widget (dmcs3; spry 1.6.1). ok, except submenus in nav bar. i've confirmed looks correct (for pc) in chrome , firefox , (for mac) safari , firefox. in internet explorer 8, submenus moving way top of screen. way have been able fix it, if type 132 px "top" "margin" in "box" category in ul.menubarhorizontal ul rule. however, doing makes other browsers view incorrectly ( submenu down towards bottom of page).

 

i have seen people have been putting "conditional comments" in css file, ie...and if need do, need write, , need put in order ie8 users conform 132 px top margin, while other users conform original 2 px top margin.

 

lastly, few people have commented submenu buttons "sticking" (loading/disappearing slowly) scroll through buttons, there way me fix that?
