Thread: Cannot automount hard drive


i have tried solve problem of forum posts find, no avail.

have asus eee pc 1000, running ubuntu 9.10 nbr. attempting set 32gb ssd automount on startup.

reformatted ext3 , followed instructions @ https://help.ubuntu.com/community/in...ganewharddrive

drive not mount @ startup, or show in list of drives. when mount through gparted, still not show on desktop or list of drives.

relevant entry in /etc/fstab file this:

/dev/sdb1 /photos ext3 defaults, umask=000 0 1

help? thanks!

does /photos exist?

if not need make directory there, or couldn't imagine mount.

sudo mkdir /photos
