Thread: Low performance with Ubuntu 9.10

hi!
have latest ubuntu installed on system, seem experience kind of performance lag... noticeable when watch videos (avi, mkv, etc) , when switch window mode fullscreen mode sound keeps going while image satys still few seconds (4, until gets fullscreen , 4 image starts playing again)... anoying , know if there's way solve this...
laptop asus x50sl ati 3470 graphics card. have ati proprietary drivers installed , system date, don't know else do... help, please...
i've tried different players , messing graphics card definitions. in windows performance normal, in ubuntu kind of lag... know itś not powerfull machince, should enough...

if laptop has specs below, *is* powerful machine, , should have performance. however, don't know what's causing problems. start running system -> administration -> system monitor, , at:

resources: cpu , memory usage

ati mobility radeon hd 3470
2 gb memory

Installation database is corrupt

dear all,   last month installed trial version of cs3 on pc , when decided install extended version of cs3, it  didn't install.  learned adobe use wincs3clean script, downloaded , ran on computer, using level 1. after tried installing extended version of cs3 got message "installation database corrupt" , can't install cs3.  can me , let me know how solve problem? use windows, xp 2. appreciate help. charleshhh install what... disc or download   if download... rename original , download again... downloads corrupted More discussions in Photoshop Windows (read only) adobe

esp8266 (nodemcu 0.9) client.write très lent ???
