hey, formatted pc , installed windows 7(previous os xp).

partitioned hd c: operating system , d: data.

ide try ubuntu out , see if it.

can have both os installed , best way go in specific situation?

should install ubuntu in d partition.......what suggest...... when pc loads prompted os want use?¿

general questions install really.....ide know whats best option.

yes, may install ubuntu in d: partition (will erase data in partition), or may use windows' disk utility create new partition , install there. ubuntu installer can resize , create partitions, seems windows 7 doesn't appreciate other utilities editing partitions.

ubuntu installation provide boot loader, may choose between ubuntu , windows when start computer.
